Reporting an Absence at Orewa Beach School
There are a number of reasons why a child may not be able to attend school on a particular day.
It is very important that the school office knows if your child is not coming to school and what the reason is.
Please include these details with your message:
- the child’s name
- the child’s area or teacher’s name
- the reason why they are not attending school
Please let the school office know this information by 9:00 am on each day your child is not attending school.
Early Pickups
If you need to pick your child/children up early from school, you must report to the main office.
If you need to pick your child/children up early from school, you must report to the main office. Parents and caregivers are not permitted to go straight to classrooms without reporting to the school office first.
You will be required to sign your child/children out and a staff member will organise for your child to come to the office to meet you.
Please be mindful of morning tea times (11 am- 11.20 am) and lunchtimes (12.50 pm – 1.45 pm) when picking up early and plan your pick-up time around break times.
